About Me
I am a dedicated student at Vassar College, studying physics, astronomy, and French. My passion for astrophysics began in high school when I joined a research group led by Professor Brett Andrews at the University of Pittsburgh. Since then, I have engaged in notable research projects, including a summer 2023 internship at the University of Chicago, where I worked on a South Pole Telescope (SPT) project modeling asteroids and analyzing microwave telescope data. The following summer, I joined the SETI Institute, focusing on the impact of a planet’s residence in a crowded, near-resonant system on the stability of potential co-orbital companions. During the academic year, I work with my major advisor to understand the influence of metallicity variances on the simulated circumgalactic medium, and with my previous SPT research group investigating the polarization of Sgr A* on small timescales. Known for my ambition, high motivation, and positive attitude, I am committed to my work and aim to uplift my coworkers, peers, and mentors. I am on track to earn my bachelor’s degree in May 2025.
Extracurriculars
I am fluent in French and actively participate in both on- and off-campus organizations. In addition to my academic pursuits, At Vassar, I am the president of the Black Students' Union, a member of a sketch comedy group, and the Secretary of the Physics and Astronomy Majors Committee. I also serve on the Servant Leadership Team as a part of Vassar's Christian Fellowship and attend Amplify Church when home in Pittsburgh. In addition to my academic pursuits, I also enjoy many hobbies, notably making music; I play seven instruments including drums, guitar, violin, trumpet, cello, flute, and percussion. I love reading, learning, running, researching, vlogging, playing video games, and basking in the simple gift of living. Furthermore, I cherish spending time with friends, family, and my cat and dog.
